The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of lane restrictions on Regional Highway 47 in the Township of Scugog starting Monday, October 19, 2026.

The work runs from October 19, 2026, to June 30, 2027, and will pause from December 15, 2026, to May 5, 2027. Unfavourable weather conditions may affect the schedule.

The affected segment is Regional Highway 47 from 230 metres east of Lake Ridge Road (Regional Road 23) to 250 metres west of Highway 12.

Crews will replace a culvert, make ditching improvements, and resurface and pave the asphalt. Temporary daily lane restrictions will be in place throughout construction so the work can proceed safely and efficiently.

Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and work crews. A live interactive map of construction projects and up-to-date traffic information is available at durham.ca/TrafficWatch.
