More than 700 student athletes competed in the DCDSB Super 60 Cross Country Championship Meet in Pickering on October 8.

The Durham Catholic District School Board event at Beverley Morgan Park brought together runners in Grades 3 through 8 and concluded the board 2026 cross-country season.

Top runners advanced from four regional meets

Students earned places by finishing among the top 15 at one of four regional meets. The championship let qualifiers compete with leading runners from Catholic schools across Durham.

The board congratulated all participating athletes and the 2026 champions, although its public summary did not list individual results. DCDSB also thanked coaches, convenors, staff and volunteers for supporting the meets.

Championship concludes the season

The regional qualification structure gave young runners from across Durham a route to one board-wide final. With more than 700 competitors, the DCDSB Super 60 brought a large field together for the final races.

Families seeking school-specific placements or results should check communications from their school or the board.
